Poor oral hygiene is a major contributor to cavities. Surprisingly enough it may also have other consequences for athletes, such as tendinitis. In the case of cavities, fragments of germ membrane pass through the blood and irritate the tendons.
The relationship between cavities and tendinitis has never been scientifically proven. However, experts in the sports field have declared that a treatment of cavities had a direct impact on recurring or long term tendinitis.
