Paris Had the World Largest Vineyards In the 18th Century

In the 18th century, Parisian Vineyards occupied  over 103,784 acres and were the largest in the world. Today the Parisian Vineyards occupy only 27 acres, the reason being that urbanization and vine disease have stifled wine industries.
