Strange Scientific Fact - Water Does Not Always Boil at 212 degrees F.

Water does not always boil at the usual 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees). It depends primarily on atmospheric pressure and related conditions. Therefore, high in the mountains, water will boil at an inferior temperature (and more quickly) as the pressure is lower, contrary to the water in a kettle.
