The Pirates of the Caribbean attraction of the Disney parks in the world is not a film adaptation of the same name. It is the film that is an adaptation of the original attraction opened for the first time in 1967 in Disneyland, California.
The attraction was later duplicated in most Disney parks, including Disneyland Paris in 1992. The first film in the series (2003) is an adaptation of the attraction, which is why Jack Sparrow is not present in the Paris attraction. He was however recently added to the US versions.
