Why Chameleon's Change Color?

Contrary to popular belief, chameleon's don't change color to match the scenery around them, but changes color to reflect its emotional state. Therefore, when a chameleon is angry or frightened, the color change has nothing to do with the surrounding environment and is certainly not camouflage.
